Wilson & Chan is pleased to announce that the firm has been re-certified as a Minority and Women-owned Business Enterprise (MWBE).
“At a time when diversity is more important than ever, our recertification is a valuable stake in the ground,” said Henry Chan. “We don’t just give lip service to diversity, we live and breathe it.”
To obtain certification, a firm must be independently owned, operated, and controlled by minority members. Once earned, certification is valid for five years before renewal is required.
“We are thrilled to have our re-certification approved,” said Jeffrey Wilson. “At a time where the state requirements are becoming more stringent, this is a win for the firm and our clients.”
While maintaining a MWBE certification becomes more difficult, especially with the recent trend of long certified companies denied re-certification because of metrics, the firm is available to provide strategic insight and guidance to companies who have seen their re-certification declined.
