Virginie focuses her legal practice in the areas of general liability defense litigation where she crafts strategies to protect and defend her clients’ interests.  Virginie regularly engages in all aspects of litigation from initial case analysis and reporting, evaluation of alleged damages (or injuries), 50-H hearings, sustainable verdicts in the designated jurisdiction, preparation of pleadings, discovery, court appearances, motion practice, depositions, temporary restraining orders, preliminary injunctions and injunctive relief, designation of expert witness, witness preparation, to trial preparation leading up to and including trial.  Virginie is experienced in negotiation settlements in various alternative dispute resolution forums including mediation, arbitration, and court proceedings.

Prior to joining Wilson & Chan, Virginia worked in the areas of international arbitration and litigation as well as international dispute resolution. She most recently worked for a law firm in New York drafting research memoranda on civil and commercial matters under New York Law, procedural documents submitted before the S.D.N.Y. and New York State Courts and completed legal research on UNCITRAL arbitration.

Virginie earned her LL.M from New York University School of Law, master’s degree in international Arbitration at the University of Versailles Paris-Saclay in France, and her master’s degree in French Business Law and bachelor’s degree in French Law at the Aix-Marseille University in France. She is a member of the New York State Bar and the Paris Bar, and is fluent in French (native language), English, and Spanish.
