Deema Hasan earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law (“UIC Law”). During her time at UIC Law, she was a member of the UIC Review of Intellectual Property Law Journal and served as the Editor-in-Chief during the 2023-24 academic year and was a member of the Moot Court Honors Council. Throughout her law school journey, Deema gained invaluable experience clerking at a mid-size litigation law firm in Chicago, specializing in estates and trusts, and interning with the Hugo Boss North America Legal Team in New York City during the summer of 2023.

Before her legal education, Deema earned her Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Michigan in 2019, where she majored in Marketing, Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management, and Psychology and worked with the brand marketing team at Rocket Mortgage in Detroit, Michigan.

Deema focuses her legal practice in the areas of general liability defense litigation, commercial litigation, and construction litigation where she skillfully navigates the complexities of the legal landscape, crafting formidable defenses to shield her clients from legal challenges. Deema adeptly represents both commercial and governmental clients in both transactional matters and litigation. Deema regularly engages in all aspects of litigation from initial case analysis and reporting, evaluation of alleged damages (or injuries), 50-H hearings, sustainable verdicts in the designated jurisdiction, preparation of pleadings, discovery, court appearances, motion practice, depositions, temporary restraining orders, preliminary injunctions and injunctive relief, designation of expert witness, witness preparation, to trial preparation leading up to and including trial. Deema is experienced in negotiation settlements in various alternative dispute resolution forums including mediation, arbitration, and court proceedings. Deema brings a wealth of knowledge and dedication to her work, ensuring her clients receive the highest level of representation.
