Cormac focuses his practice on construction law, general commercial litigation, contract disputes, insurance defense/coverage, and tort liability defense. He regularly represents construction companies of all sizes, governmental agencies, sureties, insurers, and owners.
While in law school, Cormac interned for the Honorable Salvatore Modica of New York State Supreme Court, Queens County. Throughout this experience, Cormac conducted legal research and prepared draft opinions in connection with a broad array of civil and criminal cases. Cormac also observed various court proceedings including pretrial motions, bench and jury trials, and evidentiary hearings.
As a second-year, Cormac participated in the 2019 Tulane National Baseball Arbitration Competition and won the Best Written Advocate award. Additionally, in his second year, Cormac participated in the Judith S. Kaye Arbitration Competition and won fourth place.
Cormac has over two years of experience in the personal injury field, including reviewing trial records and performing analysis of filed cases along with drafting Answers, Motions to Dismiss, Motions to Compel, Motions to Strike, and Reply Affirmations.
As an associate with Wilson & Chan, LLP, Cormac regularly engages in all aspects of litigation from initial case analysis and reporting, evaluation of alleged damages (or injuries), preparation of pleadings, discovery, court appearances, motion practice, depositions, and mediation, to trial preparation.
Cormac earned his J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law, and his B.S. in finance from Fairfield University.
