Brandon focuses his legal practice in the areas of general liability defense litigation where he skillfully navigates the complexities of the legal landscape, crafting formidable defenses to shield his clients from legal challenges.

Prior to joining Wilson & Chan, Brandon was the Assistant District Attorney at the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office in New York. He presided over jury trials and hearings as both a first chair and second chair prosecutor. He appeared on the record to conference cases with the court and opposing counsel and engaged in plea negotiations resulting in hundreds of plea bargain agreements. He conducted oral arguments relating to criminal law against opposing counsel, analyzed their arguments and motions to dismiss, and prepared affirmations in opposition and memoranda of law in response.

Brandon also conducted investigations by interviewing complainants and witnesses regarding the facts of their cases, and reviewed evidence gathered from police investigations. He prepared and conducted meetings with complainants and witnesses to explain the criminal legal process and his role as a prosecutor. Additionally, he prepared law enforcement and lay witnesses for direct and cross examinations and managed a caseload of at least four hundred thirty criminal dockets as the lead prosecuting attorney.

Brandon prepared for his legal career through various experiences, including a student attorney position at the Nassau County District Attorney’s Office, a legal intern position at the LaBonte Law Group, and a law clerk position at the Law Office of Bonita Zelman. He also interned for the Financial Crimes Bureau for the Nassau County District Attorney’s Office.

Brandon earned his Juris Doctor from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University and his Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations and Journalism from Monmouth University. Brandon’s passions encompass a frozen dance on ice, a quest for the perfect swing amidst sprawling greens, and a graceful dance of fists in the boxing ring otherwise known as ice hockey, golf, and boxing.
